FJN = A specialist in the reconstruction of Haiti through the Communal Sections in collaboration with the LDC members
The FJN website is to create awareness and to serve as the archive of its member institutions including their original mission, vision, objective and spirit. Since 2013 Father Joseph has started to develop a succession plan to ensure that the mission of the 4 institutions, which he has founded, prospers and sustains upon his retirement. He has sought help from different specialists in this field and in 2016 he started to work closely with Dr. Jim Kinsella from the University College of Dublin (UCD in Ireland). Father Joseph concluded that a network (an umbrella) organization is needed. This umbrella network enables the 4 institutions to collaborate, provide expertise, and “fill in the gaps” by complementing each other in their programs to economically empower the poor in rural Haiti to transform their lives and teach them to give back. The network will also provide opportunities for the various stakeholders to discuss their own legacy and their own spirituality while working together to rebuild Haiti from the ground up and one community at a time.

The Father Joseph Network (FJN), founded in 2017, is an umbrella organization that nurtures collaboration and spirituality – harnesses expertise and experience -- among the organizations founded by Fr. Joseph Philippe, CSSP which include Fonkoze (founded in 1994), the Peasants Association of Fondwa (APF, founded 1988), the Sisters of St. Anthony of Fondwa (founded 1996) and the University of Fondwa (UNIF, founded 2004). FJN focuses on supporting the development efforts of grassroots organizations and creating wealth in rural Haiti.

                                                                 Mission

Our FJN Mission is to empower the poor in rural Haiti to transform their lives and teach them to give back.

FJN Mission Identity Statement: As we all know: FJN (Fr. Joseph Network: APF, Fonkoze,The Sisters of Saint Antony of Fondwa and the University of Fondwa) are four Haitian institutions that have been created in Haiti by Haitians  for Haitians, with the support of our international partners and friends,  to support the struggle of the Haitian people in their efforts to rebuild Haiti through the Communal Sections and in collaboration with the LDCs ( Local Development Committee). The FJN was developed to enhance the original mission of these institutions to help the poor in rural Haiti to organize themselves to transform their lives and teaching them to give back. In summary, with the FJN initiatives we are sealing and cementing those four institutions so that together we can secure the legacy of our work on behalf of the poor in rural Haiti.

Our FJN Common Legacy:
is the transformation of the lives of the poor in Rural Haiti

We are using the APF LDC Model to accomplish this objective which is a program that APF has created to break the cycle of poverty and economic dependence in rural Haiti - LDCs are comprised of five local leaders: two (2) representatives of the local organizations; one (1) professional who will make a commitment to live in the community for a minimum of three years; and two (2) local government officials, (one from the KAZEK and the other from the AZEK). Each LDC sends three students (two female students and one male student) to study Veterinarian Medicine, Agronomy and Business Management at the University of Fondwa (UNIF). The students engage in work-study to advance their communities and make a commitment to return to their communities after graduation. We envision to incorporate soon  the indigenous women religious as members and leaders in the LDC in their communities.

Our FJN Spirituality:  learning to give back

The basis of our spirituality is to help our stakeholders to discover their own spirituality while working with us to empower the poor in rural Haiti to transform their lives teach them to give back.
